The Pathway · Phase I
The Riverbed
Regulating Emotion with Compassion
This phase is about creating enough safety in your nervous system to stay present with your own experience. You learn to notice activation early — before it becomes overwhelm, shutdown, or reactivity. The focus is gentle stabilization, not pushing through.

Reflection prompts
- 1.Where in your body do you notice you are right now? Not what you think — what you sense.
- 2.What is one thing that already helps when activation rises? Name it without judging whether it's "enough."
- 3.If your nervous system could ask for one small thing today, what would it be?
Sit with one. Skip all three. The prompts are an invitation, not an assignment.
Carry forward
One grounding anchor. Practice it for 60 seconds when you remember. That counts.
A downloadable phase companion lands here when the PDFs ship. For now, write your carry-forward somewhere you'll see it.
